What most people don’t realize is that Chevrolet is more than just a car producing company; they are innovators and collaborators and are constantly finding ways to reach each type of customer. Recently, Chevy has teamed up with Walt Disney Imagineering to create a futuristic and interactive automobile design attraction: Test Track at Epcot amusement park. This new attraction allows guests to design their own custom Chevrolet concept vehicle and then hit the track in a high-speed test drive. The Chevy Design Team and Disney’s staff collaborated heavily on this project and created the opportunity for guests to experience what it is like to be a Chevrolet vehicle designer.

Once guests have designed their dream car, they get the chance to test them on the Sim Track, and while they are enjoying the excitement and thrill of Test Track, their custom Chevrolet concept vehicles are being scored on speed control, responsiveness, and efficiency. A few months ago, I took a trip to Disney World with some of our church family and it was amazing to see the excitement and awe in the children at Test Track as they got to have hands-on experience of what it’s like to be a Chevy designer and then get to see how their vehicle performed. I heard one boy in particular tell his mom, “I can’t wait to grow up and make cars like these one day.” Without Chevrolet knowing it, they are touching the lives of individuals all over the country including our youth today, and I bet you that one day in the future, that little boy will be the creator of one of the greatest cars for Chevrolet all because of his experience at Test Track.
